Fall Mentorship Program
Applications for the Class of 2025 are closed.
This VIRTUAL and FREE program focuses on enriching student outcomes for low-income and first-generation students applying to college. Through the Fall Mentorship Program (FMP), we plan to pair you with a mentor to help you through the college application process. This primarily includes personal statement and supplemental essay edits.
Eligibility
We are open to ALL high school seniors graduating in the class of 2025.
Expectations
- Be communicative and responsive with your mentor about availability and meetings.
- Send in essays for feedback ahead of time. This is not a program for last minute edits, as there is a wait to be matched with mentors.
Mentee Testimonials
"My mentor, Brittney, walked me through everything and gave me amazing advice through the whole process. She helped me stay on top of everything, improve my writing skills, and in the end I submitted work that I was confident in and proud of."
-Dalisa
"From walking through the extracurricular descriptions to crafting a personal statement, my mentors at Take on College provided all mentees with amazing resources as well as personal feedback. Without Take on College, I would neither have the grasp I do nor be where I am today."
